As a mom of 2 young girls, it can be challenging in the kitchen.  They can be pretty picky when it comes to food.  I sometimes even find myself cooking 3 different meals!  Of course they love the mac n cheese thing, so we’ve tried the boxed stuff (which of course is NOT good for your kids with that yellow #5 and such) so then we moved onto organic, which is better but doesn’t provide any healthy nutrients for them, it’s just a carb filler.  So I’ve been trying more of my own recipes and trying to make things that my kiddos would eat as well as make them healthy by “sneaking” those healthy foods in there.  So here are…..

5 RecipsYour Kids Will LOVE!

One of my favorites has been the Mexican Chicken Tortilla Soup.  It’s so easy to make, and the kids LOVE it!  It is a family favorite, and you can make A LOT and save for the next day.

My oldest daughter is in kindergarten, so sometimes breakfast on the go is in order.  I like to have some things made in advance in case we’re running short on time.  These Baked Oatmeal To-Go cups are GREAT!  Both girls love them, they’re healthy, AND they’re filling.

I’m not a fish eater, but my husband is.  So I have found a salmon recipe that I absolutely LOVE!  This Fresh Baked Alaskan Salmon recipe is another family favorite…yes, even the girls LOVE it too!  It’s healthy, it’s clean, and I KNOW everyone in my family is getting nutritious food.

My girls also don’t eat a lot of meat, so when I find something that they like, it’s HUGE!  We try to stay away from too much red meat, so chicken is a great go-to source of protein for us.  I surprised my family with this Skinny Honey Lemon Chicken recipe and my oldest daughter ate her ENTIRE plate!  My husband said, “This is the best chicken I’ve ever had!”  It was good, and typing this up makes me want to make it again LOL

With all these yummy dinners, we can’t leave out dessert!  So why not try something guilt-free yet tasty AND satisfies that sweet tooth?  Heck, even have your kiddos help you make it!  My girls LOVE to help me cook, so this is a fun one for your kids to get involved in.  Plus, you’re teaching them to eat healthy as well as how to start helping in the kitchen.  These Healthy Shakeology Cookies are the PERFECT after dinner sweet.  They can also be used as a snack to help satisfy those sweet tooth cravings.

If you’re not familiar with Shakeology, you can read more about it and it’s health benefits as well as see why so many people are using Shakeology as opposed to other shakes and supplements available.  You will see why there truly is NO COMPARISON when it comes to Shakeology as it has been clinically proven to help regulate blood sugars, digestion, and cholesterol, assists with healthy weight loss, increases energy, and has even helped people with thyroid issues, joint pain, and IBS.  It also TRIPLED my milk supply with my youngest. 🙂
