Healthy Doritos Snacks

My kiddos love salty snacks, but have you looked at the ingredients of the chips out there?  Chemicals, additives, things that we should NOT be ingesting.  So I came up with a fun idea, Tuesdays are Cooking 101 classes, and today was healthy doritos snacks!  All the same taste but without the bad stuff of regular doritos.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 3 tsp salt (recipe calls for 3 tsp but I’d recommend using about half… they were a bit salty!)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/8 tsp chili powder
  • pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp dill
  • 6 inch corn tortillas
  • extra virgin olive oil

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Place seasonings into coffee grinder, pulse until fully ground and powdered. Pour into small bowl. Set aside.
  • Take your tortillas, brush some olive oil on each side, and cut into 6ths, like a pizza.
  • Dip your triangle tortillas into seasoning, cover each side completely, and place on baking pan covered with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 15-20 min.

Easy party snack, after school snack, movie snack, or just snacky snack!  Without the bad stuff!
