Healthy Doritos Snacks
My kiddos love salty snacks, but have you looked at the ingredients of the chips out there? Chemicals, additives, things that we should NOT be ingesting. So I came up with a fun idea, Tuesdays are Cooking 101 classes, and today was healthy doritos snacks! All the same taste but without the bad stuff of regular doritos.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 3 tsp salt (recipe calls for 3 tsp but I’d recommend using about half… they were a bit salty!)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/8 tsp chili powder
- pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp dill
- 6 inch corn tortillas
- extra virgin olive oil
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Place seasonings into coffee grinder, pulse until fully ground and powdered. Pour into small bowl. Set aside.
- Take your tortillas, brush some olive oil on each side, and cut into 6ths, like a pizza.
- Dip your triangle tortillas into seasoning, cover each side completely, and place on baking pan covered with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 min.
Easy party snack, after school snack, movie snack, or just snacky snack! Without the bad stuff!
