The BEST Lasagna Recipe
This one is a family recipe that has been a HIT Every. Single. Time. I’ve made this lasagna for family get togethers. I’ve made this for our church fellowship groups. I’ve made this back in the day for work in the corporate world. And the one thing EVERYONE says…. “Your lasagna is soooooo good!” So I figured it was time to throw it on the blog 🙂 And the best part is, it’s crazy simple and easy to make!
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (cook in skillet and drain oil well!) I also put it on a plate with paper towels to soak up and squeeze any excess oil out.
32 ounces of prego sauce (or your favorite pasta sauce)
1 egg
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 lb (8 oz) of ricotta cheese
1/2 lb mozzarella or swiss cheese (I mix half and half)
Box of whole wheat lasagna noodles (I cook about 10 or so)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix the egg, grated parmesan cheese, and ricotta cheese in a seprate bowl.
- Brown ground beef. Drain well. Mix with prego sauce.
- Put small amount of meat mixture and little sauce from jar in bottom of lasagna pan, then layer with noodles.
- Put half the remaining meat mixture on top of noodles and spread evenly.
- Top with ricotta mixture and spread as evenly as possible.
- Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
- Top with another layer of noodles, sauce, and shredded cheese
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes, uncovered.
Serve with some of your favorite garlic bread and salad. ENJOY! Let me know how you like it!
