Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls

 

For those who LOVE peanut butter and chocolate, you will LOVE these!  But I must warn you, these are NOT a health food.  They are naughtier than naughty!  So use sparingly, keep them out of sight and out of mind ha ha but enjoy because they’re the best EVER!!!  We make these during the holidays.  I keep mine in the outside freezer, and when I decide I want a treat, I grab one of these chocolate peanut butter balls and savor it.  Here we go!!!!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups REAL peanut butter
  • 1 lb powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 1 12 oz package of semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 12 oz package of butterscotch chips
  • 3 cups rice krispies, crushed

DIRECTIONS:

  • Mix together the peanut butter and melted butter.
  • Slowly add the powdered sugar and rice krispies.  Mix until thoroughly blended.
  • Shape into 1 inch balls.  Place on wax paper.  Freeze at least 2 hours.
  • Melt all chips in double boiler. Roll the frozen balls in the mixture and place on wax paper.
  • Freeze again until balls pull off wax paper easily.  Refrigerate until ready to serve.
