Chocolate Hazelnut Protein Waffles
If you love chocolate and hazelnuts, you will LOVE these!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Hazelnut meal
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup chocolate Shakeology
- 4 Tbs cocoa powder
- 4 Tbs coconut flour
- 6 Tbs Stevia
- 1 Tbs baking powder
- 4 eggs
- 1/3 cup Greek yogurt
- 4 Tbs coconut oil
- 2 cups almond milk
- 2 tsp hazelnut extract
- 1/2 tsp stevia extract
Instructions:
- Preheat waffle iron to medium high. Preheat oven to 200F and place a wire rack over a baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, whisk together hazelnut meal, protein powder, cocoa powder, coconut flour, and sweetener.
- Whisk in eggs, yogurt, coconut oil, hazelnut extract, and stevia until well combined.
- Grease waffle iron if necessary and pour into waffle iron.
- Close the lid and cook until browned and crisp. Gently remove and transfer to prepared baking sheet in oven to keep warm.
- Repeat with remaining batter.
- Top with berries or nut butter. If you want to make it a cheat, top with cool whip, whipped cream, butter, chopped hazelnuts, syrup, whatever you desire.
